The conventional wisdom is that our customer base is of a critical
mass, of you will, whereas Ansett's was, well, in a nutshell, who
cares about a couple thousand Ozzies with their knickers in a knot.
There are something like 40K UA/CO airline elites at my level of
eliteness, including (I am an exception) numerous captains of
industry and much of Congress, as well as, as is known to me,
one of the chief tax prosecutors in the Justice Department.
Alienating me and a few more like me, no problem. Alienating
them, priceless.

Sounds close to ideal then; no desertification is caused, as
it's already desert; I stand corrected.

Aloo Gobi
cat: Indian, vegan, main
servings: 4

1 Cauliflower
4 Potatoes
1/4 c Oil
1 ts Cumin seeds
1 in Ginger
3 cl Garlic
3/4 ts Turmeric
1 ts Red chile powder
3 Tomatoes
1 ts Garam masala
2 ts Coriander powder

Cut cauliflower into flowerets. Cube potatoes.

Heat oil and saute cumin seeds for about a minute. Add garlic
and ginger, stir and add potatoes. Bhoona, add turmeric and
chile, and bhoona again. Add tomatoes and simmer for 5 min.

Add cauliflower and cook over high heat for about a minute.
Add other ingredients. Lower heat, cover and let simmer for
about 15 min. Curry should be damp-dry.

[My glossary says "bhona" means "fry."]
