Airfare, hotel, meals and drinks (especially the drinks!) are still
free for the high rollers. But in the good old days almost anyone
could get freebies. In 1972 I lived in Windsor, Ontario briefly and
bought a package from a Detroit travel agent whereby economy
airfare, three nights at a really budget hotel and $200 worth of
chips were packaged and sold for a grand total of $199. The chips
were playable but not redeemable for cash. I went with a friend; we
went to a roulette wheel and he put his $200 on black and I put my
$200 on red and we walked away after one spin. The next night we put
$100 each on opposite colours. The third night we did the same with
$50 each. We played the remainder (and lost it eventually.) The
balance of the time was spent golfing, playing tennis, pool lounging
and eating and drinking cheaply. A year later we went to do it again
but they wouldn't sell us a repeat trip for some reason.[g]

Angeles thanks to the wide appreciation of Korean cuisine (fusion as
well as traditional) and its sizable Korean population, the largest
outside of Asia.
