Hard to tell, Dad isn't sure. She'd gotten up to use the toilet at 3
something am; Dad heard her calling for help and found her over near the
tub (several feet away from the toilet). He called 911 after
unsuccessfully trying to help her stand up, fire department and rescue
squad came out ASAP.


 RH> yesterday to put in a replacement, same doctor that did Dad's hip in
 RH> February, 2010.  In talking to Dad on Skype, he said he'd talked (some
 RH> months ago) with a woman about coming in to cook for them. He was
 RH> planning to contact her again and see if she was able to do so now,
 RH> since Mom won't be able to when she gets out of rehab.

Hope so! It can't be worse than Mom's. (G) Mom was transferred to the
local hospital for rehab on Wednesday, a lot closer to home! Dad will
only have to drive one mile, not 45--much better!

Sounds like Steve--he's gotten me to try a lot (!) of new things.

We started Rachel on table food at about 5 months (using a grinder & the
blender). Waited with Deborah to about 9 months; tried earlier but she
wasn't interested. Her first solid food was mashed banana. Rachel had
that as her first also; had tried a bit of rice cereal early on but
discontinued it within a week as it wasn't doing her any good.  Both
enjoyed pasta at an early age. (G)
