Ah. I plead persistent ignorance on that and many similar
subjects. On about all 21st century culture truth be told.
Some people (all the guests and hosts at a chamber music
party, truth be told) recently were all talking about some
phenomenon, the genre of which I am not completely certain,
called Game of Thrones I think (something of Thrones I am
sure), and I was not contributing to the conversation, so
someone who should know better turned to me and asked
incredulously, you do know what we're talking about, don't
you? And I replied in the negative, and despite the efforts
of all at table there, that condition has not changed.

I'm agin' it, the lottery in general. Every so often I put
a buck into the kitty for some public service and welfare
endeavor, but I don't care for the idea of the lotteristas
taking a huge skim off the top.

CURRIED PEAS AND ONIONS
cat: icky, vegetarian
servings: 6

8 oz quartered small onions
2 oz oil
1 oz flour
1/2 ts salt
1 ds pepper
1 ts curry powder
5 Tb skim milk powder
6 fl water
12 oz peas, cooked

Saute onion in oil until transparent. Blend in flour, seasonings,
and milk powder. Gradually add water. Bring to boil, stirring
constantly. Simmer until smooth and thick. Add peas and heat
through. Makes 6 servings.
