Me, too. I was, for a couple years prior to the closing of the store here, an
instructor in freehand leather work and creative design and dye work. The owner
tracked me down after a lady I had made a purse for took it to the Tandy store
to get a clasp replaced. Apparently he was convinced that I was the Grant Wood
of Leather (all puns intended).

I just picked a Rochester zip code and let it give me 57 results - which have
been reviewed by Car Talk (Tom & Ray Magliozzi on NPR) listeners. I'll betcha
there is at least one gem in there who works on Volvos.

I didn't have any trouble with the ice cubes since my place uses crushed ice.

      Title: Boysenberry or Blackberry Leather
 Categories: Five, Lo-fat, Snacks
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      1 qt Berries; pureed
    1/4 c  Sugar
 
  Just heat through on the stovetop. Strain through
  cheesecloth to remove seeds.
  
  Dehydrate in a dehydrator or in oven.*
  
  * To dry in an oven just set temp at lowest possible
  setting --about 140øF/60øC degrees would be good. Dry
  until fruit feels leather like; yet pliable. This would
  probably best be done on parchment paper.

  Remove the leather while it is still warm and roll it up.
