I wasn't exactly expecting it to enhance my life, just
to reimbuse me the cost of getting rid of it.

Part nostalgia, but I am sure real benefit as well.

There are those who are discovering "vinyl records,"
which is heartening to some. For me the proper use of
computers in audio is to enhance distortion/scratch/pop
filters - all this digital reproduction stuff has turned
out to be not only more ephemeral than originally claimed,
but also less true to life than originally claimed.

Hope it lasts a while. The Red Sox, are, you know,
shrug, pretty much gone for the season, and it would
be nice to have someone to root for, however distant.

I don't do craigslist, but Goodwill or the Salvation
Army aren't exactly waste.

Sigh. Flanders and Swann did a song about the problems
of home maintenance: look up "The Gas Man Cometh" for
a laugh or two.

I wouldn't be free until the 12th, but that might
be a possibility! I'm having difficulty logging on
to the fare sites but will get back to you when I
have my research done. The time for the best fares
has passed, though. Edited to add: the price is
$150 more than it was last week. I'll wait for the
window of opportunity to open again, but it's not
so likely.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v7.07

      Title: Kay Phaneng (Chicken with Coconut Milk)
 Categories: Laos, Chicken, Pork
   Servings:  6

      1 md Onion, chopped
      1    Clove garlic, minced
    1/2 lb Ground pork
    1/4    Or 1/3 pkg fried cured pork
           -rinds
           Red OR white pepper to taste
           Salt or Nam Pla
           Coconut milk
      2 lb Chicken

  Mix together in a bowl the onion, garlic, pork, pork rinds, pepper, salt
  and just a little coconut milk. Stuff the well-cleaned chicken with this
  mixture and put the chicken in a deep pan half filled with coconut milk.

  Cook over low heat until the chicken is well done and the coconut milk is
  reduced to cream, then the sauce will be of the correct consistency. Remove
  from heat. Serve hot, with the coconut milk poured over the chicken.
