See parenthetical comment above. If you have a guru who knows what s/he's doing
and if the drivers are out there - yeah, it's possible. I was prepared to put
"7" on the Toshiba and run it in XP emulator mode. I didn't have to do that.
Micro$loth is going to support XP at least as long as it does "7". But, there
is a finite cut-off date for support (same for both). I really, Really, REALLY
don't like the look and feel of Windows 8 - if I want the L&F of a mobile
computer WTF do I need all that hardware and, for that matter, the boys from
Redmond to get that done. A cheap tablet with Android will get me the same
places for a lot less money - and a lot more inconvenience.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Macaroni, Cart Drivers' Style
 Categories: Pasta, Vegetables, Herbs, Vegetables
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
MMMMM---------------------------SAUCE--------------------------------
      2 lb Very ripe salad tomatoes
      2 cl Garlic
     10    Fresh basil leaves
  1 1/2 ts Salt
           Fresh ground pepper
      6 tb Olive oil

MMMMM---------------------------PASTA--------------------------------
      6 qt Water
      6 ts Salt
  1 1/4 lb Thin macaroni (bucatini or
           - perciatelli)
 
  Peel the tomatoes, cut them into small chunks, and put them
  into the pasta serving dish. Chop together the garlic and
  basil, and add them to the tomatoes. Add the salt, freshly
  ground pepper in abundance (10 twists of the mill is a
  good amount), and the olive oil. Stir, and marinate for 1
  hour.

  Cook the pasta and drain especially well, shaking the
  colander to get out all the water before putting the pasta
  on top of the uncooked sauce. Toss and serve.
