I can sort of understand that - I suppose that at some
point perfectionism becomes a burden. Could not any of
his coaches, whether back in Japan or up there, have
done any of the instilling?

 And when he did have

 HN> than not hit into a fielder's choice, or double

That I didn't understand. Did the M's adapt their
strategy at all given this fact - i.e., call more
steals or hit-and-runs when he was at bat?

I believe our berry crop, specialty fruit like kiwis (well
maybe not so much any more), and some vegetables come east
from California or north from Chile in planes.

How was it?

We finally won a game, sorry it had to be against
you guys, but that wasn't that great of a surprise.

     Title: Creamed Spinach Casserole
Categories: Newsgroups, 03jan2002, Mains, Stews. Vegetarian
  Servings: 2

      1 pk (10 Oz.) Frozen Chopped
           Spinach
      5 TB Butter or Margarine --
           divided
    1/2 ts Salt
    1/4 ts Pepper
    1/2 c  Shredded Cheddar Cheese
      2    Eggs -- beaten
    1/2 c  Milk
    1/2 c  Soft Bread Crumbs.

In a saucepan,cook spinach in a small amount of water for 2-3 minutes; drain
thoroughly.  Add 4 tablespoons butter, salt, pepper, cheese, eggs and milk.
Spoon into two greased 8 oz baking dishes. Melt the remaining butter, add
crumbs.  Sprinkle over spinach mixture. Bake, uncovered, at 350 for 20-25
minutes or until almost set. Yield 2 servings.

NOTES : A shallow 1 quart baking dish can be used instead of two 8 oz.
dishes. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
