All good things. But, keep in mind that we humans are only fairly recently
graduated up from living in caves and holes in the ground.

My favourite form of making a home air tight is bricks and mortar. Much more
attractive and maintenance free than vinyl/wood siding over Cel-O-Tex or
Homasote over Tyvek or other vapour barrier.

That being said, and living in this tin can with thin (to start out) walls I
have been saving my pennies and cashing in aluminum soda cans and some beer
cans saved for me my my neighbour to re-side this place with a layer of a
Tyvek-type vapour barrier, Cel-O-Tex underlayment and vinyl siding. Whilst
doing this upgrade four windows and an unnecessary (and unused) door to the
outside are going to disappear. The remaining windows will be upgraded to
double hung, double pane examples. 

The windows will be paid for by a Feral Gummint program and the cost of
materials will be rebated 30% by an income tax credit ... all-in-all a good
deal for me. And, the lowered heating and cooling costs as well as the comfort
levels inside the home will make it worthwhile.  Bv)=

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Federal Crest Egg Casserole
 Categories: Eggs, Breads, Pork, Casseroles, Dairy
      Yield: 5 servings

      9 sl Buttered bread; crumbled
      1 c  Cooked crumbled bacon, ham, 
           - or sausage
      1 c  Cheddar; shredded
    1/4 ts (ea) salt & pepper
      6 lg Eggs; lightly beaten
  1 1/2 c  (to 2 c) milk

  Mix bread, meat, cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl.
  In another bowl, beat together eggs and milk. Combine
  both bowls and refrigerate overnight.

  Preheat oven to 350øF/175øC (convection oven 335øF/
  168øC).

  Spray 5 small individual casserole dishes or ramekins
  with non-stick spray and fill 3/4 full with the egg
  mixture. Cook approximately 20 minutes or until the
  desired doneness is achieved.

  Serves 5
