I know you got a santoku at the H-Mart near the Shipps at the 2007
picnic. Steve, on seeing yours, got one too--it's his favorite "go to"
knife. My favorite big knife is the chef's--it's a J.A. Henkles. For
small jobs I use the Victorinox knives we got at a hardware store in
Gundelwald, Switzerland in the early 90s. Got a plain paring, serrated
paring and a snall serrated bread knife for probably under $10.00.

Where in Pennsylvania? We go thru the state on our way to/from NY.

Sounds about like the one pair of cutting shears I got--from Sears for
$4.95 in the late 70s. Replaced some years (15-20) with some Fiskars
ergonomic I got for half price at a going out of business Maxx club.
Wore out the spring within the first 3 years, replacement is still going
strong about 15 years later.
