Could be, though I've known of quite a few people that were able to
manage by diet alone eventually... were started on either oral meds or
insulin or both, and by managing to learn how to eat properly (and in
many cases, lose some weight) were able to get off the meds...

I suppose at that point one has to decide whether to die (happy?) or
live a while longer... a mild sensitivity one might just cheat once in a
while (as you do with dairy), really nasty but liveable results (ok,
that might be you with dairy [g]) one might still do on occasion, but
not so liveable, one learns to do without, and enjoy vicariously
perhaps...

Thankfully pears don't give the same reaction, and yes, I do subsitute
them wherever possible.  Along with enjoying them for their own...

Um... no...  Not close enough...  ;)  And I even can enjoy zucchini on
occasion...  :)   But even for me eggplant is much higher than Z...

(That's where that broke off... dunno where you were going next..?)  I
don't use as much mayo as I once did... but I enjoy it with some things.
Baconnaise would indeed go well in that sandwich, though...

That looks quite good.  :)   I used to make our mayo, a long time ago...
maybe someday I'll do it again...  :)
