We check them out now and then.. :)  For our anniversary, we ate at Rogue's
Harbor Inn - fantastic restaurant though a bit pricey.. we splurged though so I
expected the bill would be a bit high (g).  Lots of seafood and steak and
combos thereof to select from.  And the dessert nearly stuffed us beyond
belief.. the two of us left there feeling like we wouldn't (or couldn't) eat
for a couple of days! :)

I can understand that.. well, if you're like me, you take such things one day
at a time.. if you get to the vintange shop, fine.. :)

Lol.. that would be one my son would love then, if it is. That's how he likes
most spicy-hot foods.. go figure (g).

Hope so :)   Our weather has been so warm in general.. the day before
yesterday felt like a warm spring day.. It was 68F and stayed in the 60's even
late that night.. and of course today, it 37F Lol.

Definitely.. This one has been in demand here for years :)

==Oatmeal Bars==
1 cup oil
2 cups brown sugar
1 cup white sugar
1 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking powder
6 cups quick oats
[optional: 1 cup raisins]
[optional: 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg added with the flour]

Grease a 9X13" pan
Preheat oven to 325F

Combine oil, sugars, water and vanilla and beat well.  Mix flour, salt, soda
and baking powder.  Add flour mixture to the first mixture.  Stir in the oats
and raisins if using.  Spread into prepared pan, bake only 15-20 minutes.  Do
not overbake.

That's quite an increase :)  We had quite a load this year in Slaterville
Springs.. we didn't count, but we used every bag of candy we picked up at
Wegman's (usually we grab 4 or 5).

I see that they are in parts of NYS, and in NJ and CT.. but not in Ithaca..
eventually I suppose they'll make it here.
