It wasn't a slam, as you know. I just like to call a spade if
not a spade always, at least a shovel.

I think the literature suggests foods as possible triggers, not
as the only triggers. Bright light is a notable one: I had one
major one triggered that way, only though it was distinctly
migraine, it was thoroughly pleasant, almost as though a brief
window into the hereafter. It was followed by a prolonged period
of mental and spiritual darkness; pretty strange. I don't recall
the exact circumstance, though in the last couple minutes the
details are filling in. I was with a ladyfriend, and we decided
we needed exercise - this being in my fitness days - but had
concert tickets that evening, for some big name, Rampal or
Perlman, that caliber. Anyhow, we decided to take a short but
steep hike; chose a route in southern New Hampshire where you
could do one peak for a couple hours' exercise or go on to the
sister peak and back for much more; we decided to see how we
felt and how time was before deciding. Anyhow, on reaching the
first peak in mid-afternoon, the sunlight was blinding, and I
had this ineffable experience, complete with a peculiar buzzing
sound and the light washing over my consciousness in waves.
Clearly migrainous but without pain, and it made me feel really
tremendous, energetic enough to go to the second peak and back
and to the car while it was still light. We had time to shower
and change into nice clothes and make the concert, which I don't
recall but which was probably marvelous. And shortly thereafter,
pounding headaches and black despair.

It was a huge and suspicious change, all over the space
of a couple days. I don't recall signing up for anything.
More likely someone with my address in their book got
infected?

 RH> Sounds like you need some tweaking of your settings.

The settings are autotweaked by Juno, and one can't change
them, just turn the filter on or off. The product as a whole
is not a good one, but it works for me who do not have
consistent access to the Web. Also everybody's got my e-mail
address and it would be a pain to change.

 As for what they hope to accomplish, most of the time they
 RH> hope to sucker you into opening it so they can mine data.

So why send the same thing several times? And fifty or more
all the same size (8K), all at once, makes no sense to me.

Funny thing being that there is no consensus on the glycemic
effects of some things - until just a few years ago fructose
(agave syrup in particular) was considered one of the good
guys, now, not so much.

FRIED STUFFED HARD CRABS
Categories: Florida, Maryland, shellfish, main
servings: 6 to 12 

12 steamed hard crabs
6 c pancake mix
4 ts Old Bay
3-4 c milk
Fat or oil for frying
1 lb crabmeat
1 lg egg
1/4 c mayonnaise
1/2 ts salt
1/4 ts pepper
1 ts Worcestershire sauce
1 ts dry mustard
1 c bread crumbs

Remove all cartilage from crabmeat. In a bowl mix bread crumbs,
egg, mayonnaise, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce and dry
mustard. Add crabmeat and mix gently. Shape into 12 balls and
put aside. Remove apron, top shell, fat and gills from crabs.
Firmly pack one ball of crabmeat mixture into top cavity. Put
pancake mix and Old Bay in large bowl. Stir in milk until
mixture is consistency of thick pancake batter. Dip crabs,
one at a time, making sure to coat all sides well. Lift crab
by large claw and let excess batter drain off. Fry in deep fat
at 375F until golden brown on all sides, about 3-4 min. Drain
and serve immediately.
