      4    Blackberries
      4    Lemon verbena leaves, plus 1
           - sprig
    3/4 oz Simple Syrup
           Ice
  1 1/2 oz Gin
    1/2 oz Fresh lime juice
      1 oz Chilled club soda

  "When I make my drinks, I look to the kitchen, particularly
  to the pastry chef," says bar manager Kristen Johnson. "The
  fruit and herbs that are at the farmers' market go into her
  desserts; those same things show up in my cocktails."

  In a cocktail shaker, muddle the blackberries with the lemon
  verbena leaves and Simple Syrup. Add ice and the gin and
  lime juice. Shake well and strain into an ice-filled rocks
  glass. Stir in the club soda and garnish with the lemon
  verbena sprig
