One makes one's choices. For those with young children
or livestock, opportunites are few - I guess it's worse
with livestock, as it's hard to come by a babysitter
for a bunch of cows and chickens. I didn't choose not
to have kids, but that just happened (or didn't
happen). A farm, I definitely chose not to work on or
at one. There was a brief stint when I gave a few
hundred dollars to a commune that a bunch of people I
knew were founding; it was as I recall near Tunbridge,
but it eventually moved to Prentiss, Maine, where it
eventually got seized as some of the residents were
growing pot there. After it was sold at a distressed
property auction, I ended up getting maybe 1/10 of my
original outlay back. I stayed there at the original
one a few days, but it wasn't really for me.

I have a wonderful phone that is vacationing without me.
I doubt I'll ever see it again, which is quite all right.

Gmail is okay, and the Spam it catches is invisible to me
unless I actually look for it, which I've done a few times
just to make sure there aren't any real messages caught in
the filter (there haven't been any whenever I have checked).

Juno is dubious; of course it's always been dubious.

Gorkhali Chicken Chili
categories: Nepal, poultry, main
Yield: 1 batch

2 lb chicken breasts, skinned and boned
1 ts garlic, minced
1 ts ginger, finely grated
1 Tb fresh hot chili, minced
1 Tb cumin powder
1 c onion, finely chopped
1 c tomato, chopped
2 Tb honey
2 c red bell pepper, cut into 1" pieces
1 c scallion, cut into 1" length
2 Tb cooking oil
5 dry whole red chilies
Salt and Pepper
2 Tb chopped cilantro for garnish 
Marinade:
1 Tb cumin powder
1 ts turmeric
1/4 ts grated nutmeg
1/4 ts timur (Szechwan pepper)
2 Tb lemon juice
1 Tb chili paste
1 Tb garlic paste
1 Tb ginger paste
1/8 ts asafetida
Salt and Pepper

Nepali Spicy Grilled Chicken Sauteed in Chili Sauce

In a small bowl, combine all marinating ingredients
into a smooth paste. In a large bowl, pour the
marinade over chicken pieces. Mix well, cover, and
let marinate at least 4 hr. Grill marinated chicken
on a charcoal grill, occasionally turning until
cooked through, 10 min. Cut into 1" strips.

In a blender, process garlic, ginger, fresh chili,
cumin, chopped onions and tomatoes, honey, salt,
and pepper into a smooth paste. In a sauce pan heat
2 Tb cooking oil. Fry dry whole red chilies until
dark. Add the spice mixture and saute on medium heat
until the oil starts to separate from the spices,
5-8 min. Add grilled chicken pieces, red bell pepper,
and scallions. Stir thoroughly to coat with spices.
Cook until vegetables are tender. Adjust seasoning
with salt and pepper. Garnish with chopped cilantro.
Serve with rice, or roti (flat bread).
