->  HN> which totally wore her out...but she's
->  HN> very happy to be back in her own bed!

-> I know what she felt like--after my wrist surgery in September, we
-> stopped for supper and then Steve stopped or some ginger ale before we
-> got home. I needed the supper (hadn't eaten anything in 22 hours) but he
-> could have dropped me off & then run out for the soda. 20/20 hindsight.
-> And, after being gone for a month, it was good to get back to our own
-> bed.

There are few things in life we take
so much for granted and are so happy
to see after a long absence than our
own bed!

->  HN> Anne came home from School on Thursday
->  HN> night with the flu. She's been home
->  HN> ever since and even with a flu shot
->  HN> and Tamiflu prescription she's having
->  HN> a nasty time of it. She'll for sure
->  HN> stay home on Monday and probably

-> Feeding her lots of chicken soup when she does feel like eating? I guess
-> she picks the flu bug up easier working with younger kids but it's not a
-> fun way to spend a week.

Several contributing factors, and yes, I did
make a chicken soup...but she was not very 
hungry for most of the week. She also had a
severe sinus infection as well as the flu
and could not taste whatever she was eating
or drinking. Which does not help to stimulate
any appetite.

-> ->  HN> and dental appointments. Working
-> 
-> -> We had dental appointments in early December, one less thing to worry
-> -> about in the transition time.

-> Hope it's as easy as my last one was, just a few x-rays & cleaning.

There is no such thing as an 
easy dental anything.

Blech no! She's keeping busy working on about
5 publications she has "in the pipeline" and 
was too busy to keep up with while she was at
Cal Public Lands. This weekend she and boyfriend
are going back out to Bodega Bay for a visit and
Amanda is having a meeting with her Phd advisor
on publication work.

-> -> further. Had to use our sourdough starter one day & we were well

-> -> on bread. Decided to make a pizza crust with it, turned out to be

-> I'm still watching my carbs but not giving up bread. We have bought
-> sandwich thins so I can have a "full sandwich" instead of a half one if
-> I want. I'm seeing my doctor again tomorrow, don't know if she will cut
-> the insulin dosage again or not. Morning reading have been pretty good
-> except for the time when I was on antibiotics; it went up a bit then but
-> has come back down over the last couple of weeks.

We use the Sandwich thins as well..and
look for higher fiber ones as well.
