That's what happens when you have a big school and a small
town. My school ameliorated that conflict by making students
(except local commuters) pay college room and board whether
they were used or not. Some of the richer kids just left an
empty room and lived off campus, but at least they had to pay.
At holiday time and impress your dates time and get your
parents to pay for expensive stuff time the restaurants were
overburdened, but usually going out was a fairly relaxed
sort of experience.

That's kind of cool. I should do the toothpick trick sometime.
