Hi Michael,

>> There is public trans. just about in front of our house AAMOF and
>> Ithaca is just 10 minutes down the road .. but Ron works at home and
>> it's rare when he can't take a break for whatever..

> Ah. How often does the bus run? Just curious. If I were in

Pretty often from what I remember.. couldn't find the scedule today but I know
Ron did at one point when we were first considering the house.

Sure.. and if you arrived at Ithaca airport, it's hardly a trip for us to come
and fetch you as well.

Found this on wikipedia FWTW:

"American wooden toothpicks are cut from birch wood. Logs are first spiral cut
into thin sheets, which are then cut, chopped, milled and bleached (to lighten)
into the individual toothpicks.[1] Maine used to be the leading producer of
toothpicks for the United States. The last toothpick plant in Maine closed in
2003"

I used to always have an abundance of toothpicks around since I'd use them for
stuffed squid every Christmas eve.. in more recent years I just turn the squid
tube inside out and stuffed it. When the tubes are cooked in the tomato sauce,
they close automatically by themselves. My oldest grandson had seen an episode
of Alton Brown's cooking show and see him do this (g).

Hm.. dreams of a giant plate? I'd probably say fried calamari hehe

Even playing through what you did must have been considered quite an
accomplishment. To me anyway.. ;) Since I never studied piano past perhaps an
intermediate level, that would be one thing I'd like to continue someday. Too
tired, no energy, no time.. sadly enough. (reminder to self: This piano really
needs to get tuned... kicking myself since I keep forgetting to call someone).

Right now, someplace warm at maybe 80F and sunny would do for me (G)

===Chicken Gizzard Stew===
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon seasoned salt
1-1/2 pounds chicken gizzards, trimmed and halved 1/4 cup olive oil
1 carrot chopped
1 stick of celery chopped
1 onion whole
4 cups chicken broth
1lb wide egg noodles

Combine flour and seasoned salt in a large plastic bag. Add gizzards, shake to
coat. In a soup kettle or Dutch oven, brown gizzards in oil. Add chicken broth
and vegetables. Cover and simmer for 2-3 hours or until the gizzards are
tender. Cook noodles and add to pot.

Take care,
Janis
