I was in a dorm for all four. I didn't have the money for a car.  We could 
have fridges, but couldn't light off two blow dryers at the same time 
without blowing a fuse. They rewired some buildings eventually, but there 
wasn't a real supermarket near my old campus until about ten years after I 
graduated.

Maybe for you, but not for some of us.  I walked everywhere on campus all 
four years.  What I don't get is why you care about ancient history.  Those 
dorms were torn down years ago to make way for buildings that had some 
insulation and good wiring.

The tomatoes and celery disqualify it.  It's still clam soup.  I made some 
the other week out of clams and kale and potatoes.  It wasn't chowder
