Been a while since I used a dishwasher - but, some of the instruction pamphlets
which came with them (admittedly early examples) advised a "pre-wash" for
"heavily soiled or greasy" items. Like I said, that was some time ago - when my
mother and my sister got their dishwashers ... and Mom has been gone for nearly
40 years.

Them are senior moments, son. Welcome to senescence. I find that I sometimes,
in the middle of a conversation, lose the entire train of though I was
pursuing. Not often, but often enough to be annoying.

Well, yeah. I knew that when I posted it, didn't I? Hell, I don't even care for
salmon most days - in any key.

 ML> for 2-3x the recommended time. The microwave can be
 ML> a real boon if used carefully. As in the following:

 ML> Steam beans until tender.

Except I have this neat rice-veggie steamer which is much better than any
microwave steamer I have attempted to use. I also have one of those fold-up,
sit in the bottom of a sauce-pan steamers (http://tinyurl.com/MAXI-AIDS), as
well as a Revere steamer top for my 2 quart sauce-pan.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Fish Steamed In Corn Husks
 Categories: Latino, Seafood, Sauces, Chilies
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
     12    Corn Husks; Dried
      2    Poblano chilies **
      2 lg Red bell peppers; chopped
    3/4 c  Tomato; seeded, chopped
      2 cl Garlic; fine chopped
    1/4 ts Salt
      2 lb Orange roughy or cod filets

MMMMM--------------------CHIPOTLE MAYONNAISE-------------------------
    1/2 c  Mayonnaise
    1/2 c  Dairy sour cream
    1/8 ts Oregano ;eaves; dried
      2    Chipotles in adobo; fine
           - chopped
 
  ** Poblano Chiles should be roasted and peeled seeded and
  chopped.
  
  Prepare Chipotle Mayonnaise and chill in refrigerator about
  one hour.
  
  Rinse corn husks and remove the leftover silks then cover
  with boiling water. Let stand until softened, at least 1
  hour then drain and pat dry. Mix the remaining ingredients
  except the fish fillets and mayonnaise.
  
  Cut the fish filets into 1-inch pieces and divide evenly
  between the corn husks. Place 2 or 3 Tbls of the chile
  mixture on the fish. Roll the corn husks lengthwise around
  the filling. Fold the ends toward the middle making a packet
  and secure with string. Place the corn husk packets on a
  rack in a 6-quart Dutch oven or steamer. Pour boiling water
  into the Dutch oven to a point just below the level of the
  rack.
  
  Cover and simmer until the fish flakes easily with a fork,
  about 25 minutes.
  
  Serve with Chipotle Mayonnaise.
