NOT!!! Mark Zuckerwhatsis has quite enough money without my enriching him
further. As I said above. I am convinced that (sounding like a gen-u-wine old
phart) all this "social media" is A] reducing privacy, B] killing the attention
span of entire generations, C] aiding in the depredation of the ozone layer,
and D] causing mis-diagnosis of ADHD in wholesale lots.

I read Gearhart's blog and talk to him via e-mail. I communicate with the
antipodeans via e-mail, I used to read Sacerdote's blog until it went dormant.
I still have the bookmark and check once in a while to see if he survived
turkey day. Hoare has been off my radar long enough that I don't even have a
current e-mail for him.

Like I said - Move over Ned!!!

I was going to post this recipe: "Old Luddite English Strong Ale" until I
remembered that there is a prohibition against beer/wine/booze making recipes.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Clean-Out-The-Fridge Crustless Quiche
 Categories: Cheese, Herbs, Greens, Vegetables, Dairy
      Yield: 4 servings

      2 tb Butter; divided
      1 tb Olive oil
    1/2 sm Onion; fine chopped
    1/2 c  Meat of your choice; in
           - small cubes (opt)
  1 1/4 c  Grated medium cheese
           - (Cheddar, Gouda,
           - mozzarella, etc.); divided
      1 bn Spinach, chard, or kale; 
           - washed, dried, chopped
      3 lg Eggs
      1 c  Milk
      2 tb Flour
      1 tb Chopped fresh rosemary
           +=OR=+
      1 ts Dried rosemary
      1 tb chopped fresh thyme
           +=OR=+
      1 ts Dried thyme
    1/2 ts Dijon mustard (opt)
    1/4 ts Nutmeg
           Salt & pepper
      2 tb Parmesan cheese
      1 ts Paprika

  Coat the inside of a pie plate or 9-10" casserole dish
  with 1 tb butter, then spread 1/4 cup cheese over the
  bottom. Set aside. Preheat the oven to 400øF/205øC.

  In a small skillet, melt the remaining butter with olive
  oil on medium heat. Add the onion and saute until it
  starts to soften. Add the meat and continue cooking about
  5 minutes or until onions are light golden and beginning
  to caramelize, and meat is cooked. (If the meat's already
  cooked, wait until the onions are done and then just stir
  it in.)

  Meanwhile, dump the greens into the food processor and
  pulse until finely chopped. Add the remaining 1 cup
  cheese, eggs, milk, flour, herbs, mustard, nutmeg, salt,
  and pepper. Pulse a few more times until everything is
  blended. Pour in the caramelized onions and meat, along
  with the butter and olive oil they cooked in, and give it
  a quick pulse or two just to stir. Pour into the prepared
  pie plate or casserole and spread out evenly. (It won't
  look very pretty. That's okay.)

  Sprinkle the Parmesan and paprika over the top and bake
  for 30-40 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center
  comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes or so (while you whip
  up a salad to go with it, perhaps) and cut into wedges for
  serving.
