The thought is always there but with emergencies popping up, it's nice
to have some fast resources. Found out some years ago (while we were
still in AZ) that traveler's checks were going the way of the dodo bird
and it's not always convenient to carry lots of cash so began using the
cards more when traveling.

Yes, it's hard to buy something big ticket on line (like airline
tickets) and pay cash for them, especially for travel during peak
seaons. (G) We've been overall reasonable about our use of cards tho and
have a good credit rating.

This afternoon he came in with an aloe plant; they're handy to keep
around for burns. I don't remember that we had one in GA but I've tried
to get one everywhere we've moved to, for the above reason.

That can get loud at times. Last night we had to be there a bit early;
the preaching pastor had called Steve earlier in the afternoon and asked
him to do the devotional for prayer meeting. (Pastor's water heater gave
out and they were mopping up--had a water extraction team there.) Supper
was pre planned, mostly out of the freezer so it went fast and clean up
was done before we went.

Usually they learn the hard way tho.
