We don't follow the way either of us were brought up but probably closer
to the way Steve was. Neither of us were brought up on whole wheat/whole
grains or some of the other ways we eat now, but we're eating better.

Right now the woman who's been doing a lot of their housekeeping has
done some cooking for him, presumably out of that stock. He can also
fend for himself fairly well in the kitchen; when he was in his teens,
his mom was bedridden and he did a lot of the cooking. Still, I suspect
he's reaching a point where he'd rather not do all that's involved with
the cooking & then cleaning up.
