Most of the time when I buy other than fresh veggies I'll get the frozen
ones. The proccessing of canned fruits and veggies over cooks them way
too much for my tastes. Admittedly they're handy when the power goes out
tho. As for food bank contributions, we try to go for more "meal" type
products like canned soups or pastas. Usually that is what's on the
request list instead of items like vegetables.

(G) Our girls call scrapbooking/stamping "stamp crack" so I guess it's
an acceptable "addiction". Never heard the acquisition of quilting
fabrics called anything like that; it's usually refered to as "building
the stash" or similar terms.

Can only fit so much into the house--no basement, attic or garage here
to take in the overflow. That's why I need to get going cutting down my
cotton scraps again. Three years ago I was down to one bag to cut down,
now there's 4 waiting. I cut them into squares and strips to eliminate
odd, unusable portions; it also makes pulling pieces together for a
quilt easier to find.

We've not been paid to haul something off yet. Steve did take some
electronics down to the recyling center the other day, but scavanged
useable parts first.
