I should hope not!  The man obviously looks after his machines.  In
the back blocks of PNG I have worried when travelling in an Islander
with part of a seat belt hanging out in the slipstream, flapping.  The
buckle had long since gone.

Great!  I love that sort of attitude to flying.  Are the passengers
individually weighed?  Who mans the fire extinguisher as the engines
are started?  The ticket lady?  In your climate the DC3 engines would
have to be well primed before starting, with lots of black smoke, and
a quite beautiful noise. (And the possibility of a carburettor fire.)

      Title: Niki's Flying Fish Barbados Style
 Categories: Fish
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
      8    Flying fish fillets
      1 sm Onion
      1 sm Green pepper chopped
      1    Blade chives chopped
           Thyme and parsley
           Salt and pepper
           Few drops of lime juice
      1    Egg beaten
           Breadcrumbs
           Oil for frying
      2    Limes wedged
 
  Mix the seasoning ingredients and spread over the meaty side of the
  fish. Leave for about 1 hour. Dip the fish into the beaten egg and
  then into the breadcrumbs. Fry gently in a little oil for about 10
  minutes. Serve with wedges of lime. Serves 4-6. From:
