I have been using Gravity for years -- even paid for it way back then.
Now that it has been taken up as freeware, it is up to version 3.04,
mpgravity.sourceforge.net

Comcast used to give us a news server, but dropped it several years ago.
I now use teranews. Or news.motzarella.org.  I think that both of them
have full backbone -- perhaps minus some binary groups.  I don't think
I've paid anything for either of them.

There are several fido sites with NNTP servers also.  My uplink runs
one at the-estar.com.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Frosted Cashew Cookies
 Categories: Dessert, Cookie
      Yield: 4 Servings
 
    1/2 c  Butter or margarine
      1 c  Packed brown sugar
      1    Egg
    1/3 c  Sour cream
    1/2 ts Vanilla extract
      2 c  All-purpose flour
    3/4 ts Baking powder
    3/4 ts Baking soda
    3/4 ts Salt
  1 3/4 c  Salted cashew halves

MMMMM------------------BROWNED BUTTER FROSTING-----------------------
    1/2 c  Butter (no substitutes)
      3 tb Light cream
    1/4 ts Vanilla extract
      2 c  Confectioners' sugar
           -Additional cashew halves,
           -optional
 
  In a mixing bowl, cream the butter and brown sugar. Beat in egg, sour
  cream and vanilla, mix well. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed
  mixture and mix well. Fold in the cashews. Drop by rounded
  teaspoonfuls onto greased baking sheets. Bake at 375'F for 8-10
  minutes or until lightly browned. Cool on a wire rack. For the
  frosting, lightly brown butter in a small saucepan. Remove from the
  heat; add cream and vanilla. Beat in confectioners' sugar until
  smooth and thick. Frost cookies. Top each with a cashew half if
  desired. Yield: about 3 dozen.
