Ärende: Bargains that aren't

I go for quality first ... or I try to. My 89 Mercedes is far, far, out of
style. He's a well built old piece, fairly luxurious, and still *very* solid.
But, then, I fix things as they show signs of going off. My Mercedes guy once
remarked, "you could let that slide for a while". To which I replied, "not
going to fix itself, is it?"

As a result, when I am ready to retire Baron Munchausen and get something a bit
more "up to date" I will get top $$$ on the trade from Dr. Bob (my Mercedes
guy) because he knows the car has been well cared for. But, heck, the Baron is
only showing 230K miles and uses no oil between changes.

NB> bargains... as well as other household items... :)

Enough of the items *are* from estates as to make it a good chance .... the
cowboy boots, for instance had leather soles which, apparently, had never been
worn off of carpet as they were still smooth as a baby's butt.

 NB> That makes sense. :)

I thought so. There are some positive benefits (not many, but, some) from being
a pack-rat. Bv)=
