Aaaaahhhh ... I did that recently, downloading a copy of CMPqwk and its (now
PDed) serial number. Then I had to set up a confuser with Windows 2000 - since
the program is a 16 bit abandon-ware thing with no hope (source code is lost -
so it can't be revised and updated) of working on anything newer. If I could
get it to install on XP I could tell XP to emulate 16 bit mode. But, I haven't
figured a way to install it when the OS keeps spitting up on the 16 bit
installer.  Bv(=

Well, I seem to be over-run with recipes that keep flowing into my inbox ...
between what I post here from recipesource.com, etc. and the weekly emails from
BH&G, Epicurious (Bon Ap & Gourmet), Texas Cooking, Cuisine.com, and SFGate
(the online presence of the Gay Bay Gazette ... errr San Francisco Chronicle)
it keeps me on the hop to keep up with MM-ing the new stuff. Plus I grabbed a 2
megabyte file of Wild Game recipes - supposedly in MM format - but, really in
Now You're Cooking's MM export format which is close, but, no cigar. So I have
been massaging those guys at the rate of 25 per day. When I get done I will
heave a HUGE sigh of relief and put them in queue to be posted here. Or sent to
anyone who would like the whole file in REAL MM-format.   Bv)=

This is one of the game recipes after massaging by me but before running it
through MMCONV to fix anything I might have missed - and to make sure the MM
will accept it. Note that it doesn't have the "Uncle Dirty Dave's Archives"
tear line on it - I haven't archived it -- yet.

___-- Now You're Cooking! v5.32 [Meal-Master Export Format]

      Title: Ernie's Turtle Soup
 Categories: soups, game, chilies, wine, herbs
      Yield: 50 servings

     20 lb turtle meat; boneless
      2 c  flour
     10    parsley sprigs; chopped
      4    cayenne pods
      5 c  bell pepper; chopped
      4 oz worcestershire sauce
      2 bn shallots; chopped
     40 oz Can mushrooms
     10 c  celery; chopped
    750 ml sherry wine
      2 ts garlic granules
      4 ga water
      6 c  water
     10 c  tomato sauce
     20 lg onions; chopped
      2 c  oil
      2 tb sweet basil

** SEE ADDITIONAL INGREDIENTS BELOW 

Season meat with salt and pepper and fry in oil until brown.
Remove from oil and reserve. Add flour and slowly brown
until golden. Saute onions, celery, bell peppers and
mushrooms until tender and add to flour mixture. 

Return to pot the turtle; add tomato sauce, garlic and 5
pints water and cook for four hours. Add lemon, bay leaf,
sweet basil and 15 quarts water and simmer for 5 hours or
until soup has reduced to desired thickness. Add
Worcestershire sauce, parsley, shallots and season to taste.
Simmer 15 minutes longer. Turn off heat, let stand. Skim
oil. 

Serve with egg & Sherry. 

** Hard-boiled egg, 12 sliced deseeded lemons, bay leaf (12)
