But hitting wrong notes seems to stand out more on a piano than most
instruments. Seems that way to me. My mom's dad, even tho he couldn't
play any instrument, could tell when his daughters would hit a wrong
note when practicing the piano. He could also tell them what one to hit,
and usually from another room. He was an investment banker on Wall
Street, died when I was 4. Wish I could have gotten to know him better.

I have trouble reaching 7 notes with any degree of comfort. To get a
full octave I can stretch my hand in front of the keys but that makes
playing sort of difficult. (G)

Quite a bit. (G) We celebrated 39 years since we met this past Sunday.
Bit of a quirk tho, since he's home so much now. He's doing a lot more
in the kitchen (including the clean up afterward) than he's ever had
time for previously. I've a set of tools (2 tine fork, slotted spoon,
non slotted spoon, etc, 7 in all) that we hung just to the right of the
stove. For years, being the primary cook, I've hung them in a certain
order. Now he's hanging them in a way that's "more convenient to reach
from the stove"; that is, pretty much opposite the way I've done it.
He's going for the (in his mind) rational way; I want the (in my mind)
in order of use, the way I've always done it way. I'm having to hunt,
rather than grab by position, the tool I want.

It's worth a try anyway. I usually just use the dry fajita seasoning
blend to make them.

We were in a World Market store today; they've got food, wine, cooking,
furniture, stuff from all over the world. The Nutella they had was made
in Canada. Didn't buy any but got some "stock socks"--netting bags to
hold stock meat, veggies, etc that you lift out instead of straining out
of the stock pot. Made me think of xxCarol's sock. (G)
