Hey, if the service sucks and the grub is crap - don't go there again. I 
was just pointing out that there is a non-spicy option. It ain't bad, as 
I got some by server mistake once and was home and digging in when I 
found the lack of heat. Not really worth storming back in and demanding 
replacements ... especially as I was hungry and the chooken was tasty. 
Just, not what I was expecting.   Bv)=

Both of our Popeyes, the one I go to in the "ethnic" area of town and 
the one over in big-money Yuppieville are excellent both in service and 
product. Of course the fact that they do a good business helps keep the 
product freshly cooked, etc.

      Title: Popeye's Dirty Rice
 Categories: Five, Copycat, Pork, Rice, Poultry
      Yield: 5 servings
 
      1 lb Spicy bulk breakfast sausage
     14 oz Can clear chicken broth
    1/2 c  Long-grain rice
      1 ts Dry minced onion
 
  Brown sausage in skillet until pink color disappears,
  crumbling with fork. Stir in broth, rice and minced
  onion. Simmer gently, covered, 18 to 20 minutes or
  until rice is tender and most of broth is absorbed.
