At her present age she should have the experience to judge the ladies
dispassionately, unlike her father, whose judgement is doubtless
rather clouded by passion.  I admit that I consulted with my 16 year
old daughter from my first marriage, getting her favourable opinion of
the lady who became my second wife, before proceeding further with
that relationship.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Australian Passionfruit Sponge
 Categories: Cakes, Australian, Asia-se, Charmaine
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      4    Eggs;@ room temperature
    185 g  Castor sugar
    1/2 ts Vanilla essence
    125 g  Self-raising flour
      1 tb Cornflour
     90 ml Very hot water
     15 g  Butter whipped cream
      2    Passionfruit
           Castor sugar
    150 g  Icing sugar; sifted
 
  Australian cooks are rightly proud of their feather-light sponge
  cakes. None is more typical than passionfruit sponge.
  
  Brush two 20cm layer cake tins with melted butter and line bases with
  non-stick baking paper. Preheat oven to moderately hot, 1 0_C (375_F).
  
  In electric mixer whip eggs until light, add sugar gradually while
  beating. Add vanilla and continue beating for about 10 minut s or
  until mixture is light and thick. Sift flour and cornflour together
  twice, then gradually fold into egg mixture, using a l rge metal
  spoon.
  
  Pour hot water onto butter, stir into mixture and divide batter
  between the prepared pans. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cak s
  shrink slightly and spring back when lightly touched. Remove to a
  wire rack to cool. Sandwich together with whipped cream and spread
  with half the passionfruit pulp sweetened with castor sugar.
  
  Mix remaining passionfruit pulp with icing sugar in a bowl, beat until
  smooth and with a palette knife dipped in hot water, spr ad over top
  of sponge.
