I trust you managed to laugh that off, and were not too seriously
hurt.  It would have added to your reputation.  The nearest I got to
that was when Carol and I wandered into an afternoon tea party for
some visiting dignitaries in the Darwin Parliament House after
splashing barefoot through ankle-deep water from a tropical rain
storm.  We did manage to get cups of coffee and sammiches before being
quietly asked to leave - after we had finished the coffees.

      Title: New Caledonia Boiled Yam In Coconut Milk
 Categories: Micronesian
      Yield: 4 servings
 
      8    Pieces of yam ( about 5 oz.
           Or 150 grams each ),
     16    Taro or slippery edible
           Hibiscus ( bele ) leaves.
 
  Prepare coconut cream. Peel yams and chop into average size pieces.
  Fill up pot with yam pieces until they fill about three-quarters of
  the pot. Pour in coconut cream. Cover with taro leaves before putting
  the lid on. Boil for 30-45 minutes or until yams are cooked. Serve
  hot as a breakfast dish.
