That must have been a sight! Both my parents and Steve's had an open
house for their 50th, mine did also for their 60th. Steve's folks had a
reception at one of their daughter's homes for their 60th; both sets had
a dinner later for extended family and a few friends. A program would
have been nice at some point but we barely made it to the end of the
open house last year for my parents (entertaining some of the family at
my parent's house) and didn't make it to Steve's parent's 60th. Theirs
was too close to our trip to Israel that they told us not to spend the
time & money going up there, then getting back to NC to wash clothes,
pack and leave out the next day for our trip.

No, you need to write the notes in the book beside the recipe. That's
the only way you will know in the future what to do with that particular
recipe.

Some memories of her mom. I'd asked my mom one time how it was made but
she had no idea. So, I went to the only other logical source (her only
living sister) and got a recipe. It's been popular as something
different from the name brands bean casserole.
