I couldn't do it--my wrists give me too much trouble. I've done small
jobs now and then but would not try a wedding cake.

That's what the mother of the groom did for a wedding at the church a
couple of years ago. She didn't want to cut it up afterward so I took
over for that.

At least she had the luxury of the extra time and the weather was good.

That was more so with the 50th; with the 60th some family came to the
house during the reception time and needed a meal so we put one together
(basing it on leftovers from the night before) for them.

Sounds like she's doing well then. My mom has only been out of the care
facility (other than doctor's appointments) once when Dad was
transferred to the M'ville hospital and for Christmas. Dad says she's
completly wheelchair bound now, can't walk, even with a walker. That's a
downturn since we saw her in October.
