I guess those who don't have the time for a sit-down
can at least get the benefit of the good food without
having to block out a schedule for it. On the other hand,
the freshness (maybe not such an issue) and hotness are
compromised, as well as the fun of taking a meal meal.

And sort of kind of festive as well.

Likely - my vague memory is of some vinegar sauces and
that's about that, now that you've shot down my mitigatory
suggestion of El Yucateco (which is itself a vinegar sauce
but at least rather spicy).

I appreciate the engines behind takeout places, see above,
but sit-down is preferable and takes pressure off the home
kitchen cleanup.

Why mess with goodness by obscuring it with other
goodness?

Swedish honey melon-chili salad
cat: odd, fruit, veg

Serves: 4
1 honey melon
1 red chili pepper
1/2 pk arugula
1 lime, juice and zest
Salt and pepper, to taste

Seed and peel the melon. Cut it into large chunks.
Finely chop the chili (be sure to remove seeds).
Mix the melon, chili, arugula and lime juice and
zest. Season with salt and pepper.
