Aside from the fact that cats are pretty much self-cleaning and self-
tending, some of them can be just a big affection sponges as Rover.

      Title: Signal Hill Mutton Curry
 Categories: Lamb/mutton, Curry, Fruits, Vegetables
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
  1 1/2 kg Boneless mutton shoulder
           - (3 1/4 lb)
           Oil
      4 lg Onions; chopped
     15 ml Curry powder (1 tb)
      5 ml Turmeric (1 ts)
     10 ml Salt (2 ts)
      2 ml Black pepper (1/2 ts)
      1    Stick cinnamon
      3    Whole cloves
      2    Bay leaves
      2 lg Carrots
    250 g  Apricots (9 oz)
      2    Bananas; sliced
    125 ml Wine vinegar (1/2 c)
    500 ml Meat stock (2 1/8 c)
 
  This is a quick and easy choice in our Cape Malay recipes.
  
  Mutton being a tougher meat needs a little longer to cook
  though. The Cape Malay people originate from the earliest
  Dutch slaves. Most of the Malay people (about 166,000) live
  in the Bo-Kaap at the foot of Signal Hill in Cape Town.
  
  Cut meat into cubes, fry in oil until brown. Add onions and
  sautO. Add curry powder and turmeric, fry lightly. Add all
  remaining seasonings, then carrots and fruit. Add vinegar
  and stock, cook until meat is tender - 2 - 3 hrs.
  
  Serve with yellow rice.
