I had basically no choice--not that many places to go to off campus in
Houghton, no wheels and not too much extra money. Parents paid for the
meals so might just as well go with them (except breakfast, which I
generally skipped).

Veggies from a can was what was served--except one day one of my friends
sat down across from me and commented "I see they mowed the grass today"
when he saw the dish of spinach I had. (G) Everything was cooked no or
low salt so it usually needed some for flavoring, plus a bit of pepper
for some.

A lot better than the no heat white chili I had at a baby shower today.

He's diabetic so don't know what the story was behind his bidding.

I didn't take the time to look as I had to get home, get stuff put away
and get to the baby shower. Maybe next time................
