Let's count on September, then.

There's the phenomenon of "seizing" (for some reason not
generally called "seizure"). It's rather like instant
crystallization such as you get from those reusable heat
packs. After chocolate seizes, it can no longer be used
as couverture or molded candy, but I actually think it
tastes great when in this condition and am surprised some
opportunistic entrepreneur hasn't packaged ruined chocolate
as "crystalline chocolate" or something like that.

Okay, that doesn't pose as many issues.

In my experience, it hasn't depended on the product, and all
the eco-friendly detergents are just plain wowsy.

I looked these up. The former appears to be less clean from
the getgo than you imply; the latter just as horrendous in
every way. Murder seems to be a main theme in both. I might in
my dotage take the trouble to see the former if only to cackle
as Meat Loaf gets massacred. Not planning on seeing the other,
though.

Sherman Hemsley's Spicy Chicken Meat Loaf
cat: celebrity, poultry, main
Serves: 6

4 md carrots
2 onions
1 bell pepper
2/3 c wild rice, washed and drained.
2 lb ground chicken
1 1/4 Tb salt
1/2 ts pepper
1 egg
1 Tb mustard (optional)
h - Barbecue sauce
3/4 c ketchup
2 Tb Worcestershire sauce
1 Tb lemon juice
2 Tb honey
1/2 ts hot chili powder
1/2 c water

Chop carrots, onions and bell pepper into small
pieces. In a large mixing bowl, combine vegetables
with the chicken, rice, salt, pepper, egg and mustard.

Place mixture into a 2 1/2 lb meat loaf tin. Bake at
350F for 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hr.

Meanwhile, make sauce by combining all ingredients in
a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer until liquid is
reduced by about one third.

Serve sauce hot with meat loaf.
