Humor often has an edge.

This, that, and the other, depending on the exigencies of
the situation. What are rigid rules but a framework for
creative avoidance?

An interesting marriage! How did that come about?

It was, indeed. A sad thing. Plus she had significantly
more romantic visions of the relationship than I did.

I suppose. After all, one of Goethe's greatest works
was Felix Krull, Confidence Man.

I doubt it. He was defensive in a way that bespoke
insecurity about the subject. Still is sometimes, but he's
not so bad most of the time, because people in the musical
world at least didn't rub his nose in it, so there's a
possible source of pushback gone.

We could write volumes on what we are not suited for.
Professional athletics probably wouldn't even appear
until the appendix of obviouses.

Abkhazian Adjika
cat: Georgian maybe, sauce, condiment
yield: 1 batch

2 red jalapenos*
6 cloves garlic
2 Tb chopped cilantro
2 Tb chopped dill
2 Tb chopped parsley
1/4 c olive oil (give or take)
2 Tb chopped walnuts
1 pn salt

* Note by original author: I'm sure the Abkhazians use some
other kind of spicy red pepper

Process all ingredients, beating in oil as necessary, or
grind in a mortar and pestle.
