Oddly, I am listening to Cab Calloway going out on my little internet Jazz
station - doing "What's Buzzin' Cousin?" Minnie comes along later, after "Don't
Falter At The Altar".  Bv)=

I used to listen to it on the old crank-up Victrola at my grandparents house.
Shellac 78s, complete with snap, crackle and pop .... and I ain't talkin' bout
Rice Krispies.

What's worse is that I e-mailed them and asked why - including a request that
they not try to "spin" me. So, what do I get back? 

"SiriusXM has launched The Billy Joel Channel as a takeover of 40s on 4
(Channel 4) from 6 p.m. ET on March 26 until 3 a.m. ET on June 26. It will also
air on SiriusXM Internet Radio Channel 705 and on our mobile apps (Limited

Now, if that ain't spin - I've never seen spin. Not to mention that the
Internet Radio and Mobile App cost the same per month/year as the satellite
radio subscription - so, they tried to spin me and milk more money from my
wallet. YIKES

Never had cooked radishes in my checkered career as a gourmand. Never could get
past wash, trim, salt and crunch. Or using the greens and seed pods in salads. 
YUUUUUM.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Roasted Chicken Gourmand
 Categories: Five, Poultry, Mushrooms, Citrus
      Yield: 3 servings

  2 1/2 lb (1 kg) chicken
      2 oz (60 g) butter; room-temp
      1 sm Black truffle (1/2 oz/15 g)
      1 ts (5 ml) lemon juice
           Salt & white pepper

  Heat the oven with grill to 200oC/400oF

  Rinse the chicken and pat dry.

  Fine slice or chop the truffle.

  Mix half of the butter with salt, pepper, truffle and
  lemon juice. Melt the rest of the butter.

  Carefully loosen the skin from the breasts using your
  fingers, but leaving the skin on, making pockets. Be
  careful not to break the skin.

  Fill the "pockets" with the butter mixture.

  Tie up the chicken nicely.

  Roast the chicken for about one hour, turning occasionally
  and brushing with the remaining butter, until beautifully
  brown on all sides.

  Serve hot as a main course, or cold as finger food.
