I have seen a statistical analysis that suggests that this works
more often than not. The same guy also said never buy IPOs but
wait for the inevitable dip after the buzz dies off. That one worked
on just about everything (except Google).

I should have added "at the current time". Food and energy items are
going up more than the other items in the basket.

I have a similar problem with "galette" and even "cake"! Consider
the difference between Devil's Food cake and hoe cakes.

I found three dishes by that name, all very different. One was
stewed pork with taro in brown sauce but the other one was a chopped
meat patty in a baked pastry case. Close to a Cornish pasty or a
Jamaica patty in construction. In this context, does Rou mean "meat"
and Bing "bun"?

Neither of those explains this though:

           Minced meat
      1    Piece salted fish
      4    Water chestnuts
           Garlic, ginger, onion
 
  Cut water chestnuts, garlic, ginger and onions into small pieces (I
  grind them). Mix the above with meat and salted fish with light sauce,
  salt and pepper. Pour a bit of oil and sesame oil over the mixed
  patty. Leave to marinate for few hours. Steam till soft.

And Fuchsia Dunlop says that the term means fish fragrant pork
shreds. There is no fish in the dish; it just uses the seasonings of
a famous carp dish in a pork dish. Kind of like the terms lobster
sauce, duck sauce and scampi sauce.  Now I have a headache!
