Complicity is somewhat a different matter than just taking something
over to dole out...  Making people beg seems a a bit much to me, too...
a system of needing to ask may seem to be the same thing, but I at least
see a different degree there...  but it isn't part of humor... :)
Having the supply of meds tucked away if someone is afraid one might
misuse them is one thing, having to ask or beg for every dose is
definitely over the line....

Perhaps stowing one or two boxes until the first is used could be fine,
but hiding them all would indeed be sadistic...  ;)

Hmmmm...  Wild trees can bear fruit, sometimes quite good fruit... but
in general, that could be a reasonable analogy....  Actually, even my
exception keeps the analogy with education...  There ARE those that can
learn on their own...  but it isn't the regular practice...  :)
