He knew. Part of his problem is that he didn't get a driver's
licence or a key to the house he was living in until our mother
became ill. None of us had a key to that house - my sister and
I had no particular reason to have one, but he didn't get one
even in his 20s and working part-time; so every night after work
he had to be let in. He got a driver's license when mother became
too ill to do the chores; I think he was 29 at the time.

Family situations take longer than you budget for them. I think
that's one of the rules. Good luck.

Yeah, as we're not professionals - who do what they're good at
or have a reputation for, whether they like them or not.

True enough, just to keep your hand in, or for fun, or
any of a number of reasons.

But ... oh, heck, forget it, we could go on like this forever
but for the good of the echo I'll stick a fork in it and call
this wurst of all subjects done.

      Title: Sloppy Franks
 Categories: Main dish, Meats, dubious
      Yield: 6 servings

      1    Small Onion, Chopped              1/2 c  Chopped Green Pepper
      1 tb Butter Or Margarine               1/2 c  Barbecue sauce
    1/4 c  Catsup                              1 lb Franks,Cut In 1/4-in.
Slices
     12    Hamburger Buns, Split

  Cover and microwave onion, green pepper,and margarine in 1-qt casserole on
  high (100%) until vegetables are tender, 3 to 4 minutes. Stir in barbecue
  sauce, catsup and franfurters.  Cover and microwave on high (100%), 2 1/2
  minutes, stir.  Cover and microwave until mixture boils, 2 to 3 minutes.
  Spoon mixture onto buns on serving plate.  Microwave uncovered on high,
  (100%) until buns are hot, 1 to 2 minutes. Source unknown
