The Benz has nearly 180K on the clock. Only 20K or so of those are mine. But, I
know it was well-maintained. I bought it from my Mercedes guy - it was his
daughter's car. Just a couple of cosmetic wobbles and an oil change since I had
it. Mercedes specifies a 10K mile interval between oil changes ... which is a
good thing. That guy uses nearly 8 quarts (7 litres) of 0W-40 full synthetic
oil. Other than that oil change, a light bulb and a wiper blade I've not had to
do anything.

When I put in for my vacation time yesterday I learned that I don't have any
vacation days credited. I haven't been on full-time status for a full year. So,
I told them give it to me un-paid (which I have done in past). One of the
wise-guy assistants asked "What if you don't get the time off?" I told him "I'm
going to that picnic. If necessary I'll take O'ReillyO'Reilly up on their offer
of a driving job when I come back." He looked a bit put out. But, he's a d!*k
weed anyway ... and thankfully not the one who makes the call.  Bv)=

Do you have any idea how hard it is to find a recipe featuring "weed" without

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Crispy Baked Chicken Leg Quarters
 Categories: Five, Poultry, Herbs
      Yield: 4 servings

      4    Whole chicken leg quarters;
           - skin-on, bone-in
    1/2 c  Soy sauce; divided
      1 ts Garlic granules; divided
      1 ts Adolph's seasoning salt;
           - divided
      1 ts Dill weed; divided

  Preheat oven to 375øF/190øC.

  Line a large glass baking dish with foil.

  Remove excess fat from chicken quarters if you wish.

  Separate the skin from the chicken, taking care that the
  skin stays attached at most points on the chicken. (You
  just want a flap. Do not remove the skin).

  Brush the chicken (under the skin) with soy sauce.

  Sprinkle some garlic powder, seasoned salt and dill weed
  on the chicken under the skin (I estimated the tsp measures.
  Use as much or as little as you're comfortable with) and
  rub in.

  Arrange the leg quarters in the pan, skin side up, taking
  care not to crowd. They need space to cook properly.

  Brush both sides of the leg quarters with soy sauce.

  Sprinkle the skin with garlic powder, seasoned salt and
  dill weed (to taste).

  Place on middle rack in over and bake uncovered for an
  hour.

  After an hour, increase oven temp to 400øF/205øC and
  bake 15 minutes longer.

  Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
