Yes, and I've worked quite a bit in her kitchen. I've made do with the
less than ideal lay out, usually by getting everything I need gathered
in one place before starting the cooking/baking/etc. Then I try to work
close enough to the sink that I can put dirty dishes in or near to it.

We were heading back to NC the day after we had the prime rib in
Margaretville. It made a nice Sunday after church but before hitting the
road meal. Dad was finishing his lunch when we got to the house after
church so we were able to eat with him.
