Now, them is some dandy savings. Beats my steady 6c/gallon all hollow.

Lessee now .... that works out to about U$4.50/lb. Grabbing my Meijer 
Supercenter flyer from the last Sunday paper shows me that boneless 
tenderloins are on offer for U$1.69/lb (sliced free, limit two). Heck of a 
transport charge there, Senor Jaime. Even located, as I am, only 50 miles (80 
klicks) from a major pork processor ... that's a heck of a transport fee you 
are paying.

Oddly enough ground pork is more expensive than the special offer pork loins 
... at U$1.89/lb. And my favourite meat market, Humphrey's, is offering 
breakfast and sweet or hot Italian bulk sausage for U$1.99/lb. Their Italian 
sausage is good in patties, fried and on a sandwich. Or as the bulk of the 
meat in a Bolognese sauce for pasta.

      Title: Spaghetti Bolognese
 Categories: Sauces, Pork, Wine, Vegetables, Herbs
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
    1/4 lb Mushrooms; sliced
      1    Carrot; sliced
      1 cl Garlic; crushed
    1/2 c  Chopped onion
    1/2 c  Celery; diced
    1/2 c  Bell pepper
      2 tb Oil
    3/4 lb Bulk Italian sausage
     28 oz Can tomato sauce
    1/2 c  Water
    1/4 c  Red wine
      1 ts Sugar
    1/2 ts Italian seasonings *
      1 lb Pasta; cooked
 
  * a mixture of dried basil, marjoram, oregano, coriander,
  thyme, rosemary, and savory. Crushed before adding
  
  Saute mushrooms, carrots, garlic, onion, celery and green
  pepper in oil. Add sausage and brown. Drain fat, add tomato
  sauce, water, red wine, sugar and Italian seasoning. Serve
  over hot spaghetti.
  
  Serves 6.
