ML> Sounds like a solution to that might to invert the bread
ML> now and again. How long an interval is not soon enough.

Possibly... part of the problem is forgetting it's there. And I'm not
really sure how long the intervals are... it's pretty easy to lose
track. Probably on the order of at least months...?

ML> My brother, source of much of the comedy I offer here, has

Not quite what he expected, eh...?

ML> But he was fond enough of it to buy some as soon as he was able
ML> but loony enough to have had left it in the door of the freezer
ML> (easily visible) for several years.

One does have to remember it's there, when one is thinking about what to
fix for eating... ;) Of course, easily visible should jog the memory,
if one opens the door to check out the supply... ;)

ML>> Or how lenient the laws and how vigilant the inspectors.
NB>> That I'd tend to agree with... especially the latter... if there's not

ML> Of course there may be the issue of they just don't sweat
 ML> the petty things.

Could be.

 ML>> There's not a viable elsewhere. A small TJ's a couple miles
ML>> up the road, but it's also equally hip-product challenged.
NB>> Odd that. Apparently the retail segment hasn't noticed what the
 NB>> population shifts have been...
ML> Or at least corporate hasn't.

True.

ML> going away dinner and found that the calamari were laid out
ML> in nice rows in the display, as before, but they were $9.99
ML> a pound (twice what they had been in March), plus there were
ML> no tentacles - I asked the kid behind the counter to check
ML> if there were any out back, and there weren't. I ended up

Seasonal fluctuations, probably... I just saw some freshly made up
(which at least our store seems to do before the end date, and for
Friday customers that want already cooked) that had both rings and
tentacles... haven't been paying that much attention to the price,
though.. Maybe someone had beat you to the tentacles... ;0

ML> getting Belize farmed shrimp (small tigers but sustainably
ML> grown) for $10.99, passing on the only scallops available,
 ML> giants at $20.99.

Wegmans shrimp is worth the cost... it does taste particularly good...
;) But I do wish sometimes I could just buy the scallops irregardless
of cost... the taste testings I've had of them are always very good, but
I have a hard time buying them at $20+ a pound... sigh...

NB>> It's always, in my experience (ie not from the very beginning of its
NB>> existence), been some sort of an audience participation show.
ML> According to the Internet, it has been recut to allow for
ML> more audience participation, as in not just laughing,
ML> throwing things, and howling along with the dialogue, but
ML> real hiatuses for improv led by professional actors.

Oh. I didn't mind the old audience participation... dunno about that,
though...

NB>> I haven't really been paying attention lately... it probably is still
NB>> being shown somewhere locally, but I don't know where, or how it may
NB>> have further evolved... ;0 Maybe we could research that when you
 NB>> are here...? ;)

ML> Rochester, like Cambridge, doesn't have that rowdy a
ML> reputation (though as in all college towns, wildness
ML> exists if you look for it). I can take that level of
ML> excitement, I think, even with this 60-plus-year-old
ML> ticker. Remember, though, that I have not in the past
ML> seen fit to try the show out despite many opportunities.

I shan't force it on you, never fear... :) It might be a curiosity
to check out, though...

... in case of doubt, make it sound convincing
