No more morning Scrabble for me except when Hot Legz shows up at Holodeck. And
then only until we finish this game. I am not going to start any new ones there
since the board may come down at any time.
 
Main reason I took the older laptop along is to be able to listen to my little
Internet radio station that broadcasts jazz 24/7. Nothing on TeeVee that
interests, and no available radio stations that play any sort of music I want
to listen to for more than a few minutes. Even my local NPR station has killed
all its (European) classical music programming and jazz in favour of chin music
shows. FEH!

Got sprung last night just before supper. So, I wandered off to the truck stop
for a bowl of chicken and dumpling soup (one of my favourites) and a roast beef
melt. And found that I had to be civilised with the sammich. Without front
teeth it's hard to gnaw off a chunk - so I had to use the knife and fork.  Bv)=

I envision a lot of pasta dishes, smashed potatoes, etc. Very little crunchy
granola stuff.

And on days when I am scheduled off work so I don't have to scramble around
getting my shift covered. I did learn that my B.P. was 120/82 and my blood
sugars were 81 (after pancakes w/syrup, sausage and pepper-jack omelet, hash
browns, etc.). Not bad, considering.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Creole Omelet
 Categories: Cajun, Pork, Potatoes, Vegetables, Chilies
      Yield: 6 Servings
 
      3 tb Oil
     12 oz Potatoes; peeled, thin
           - sliced
      1 md Red bell pepper; cored,
           - seeded in thin strips
      1 md Onion, diced
      1 md Rib celery; in thin 2"
           - strips
      8 lg Eggs
    1/2 ts Salt
      1 ts Ground cayenne pepper
     10 oz Box whole okra; thawed
      4 oz Cooked ham; diced
           Fresh parsley sprigs; (opt)
 
  In a 12" skillet with heat proof handle over medium-high
  heat, heat oil. Add potatoes, red bell pepper, onion and
  celery. Cook about 12 minutes,stirring frequently until
  vegetables are tender. Meanwhile, in med-size bowl, beat
  eggs, 1/3 cup water, salt & ground red pepper until well
  blended.
  
  Pour egg mixture into skillet; scatter okra and diced ham
  over top. Reduce heat to medium.Cook 10 minutes until
  sides and bottom of omelet are set. Meanwhile, heat
  broiler. Place skillet under broiler, 6" from heat source;
  broil 3 to 5 minutes until top of omelet is puffy and just
  set. Garnish with parsley,if desired.
  
  Makes 6 servings.
