Quite unlikely, as they included peculiar ingredients, such
as kidneys, intestines, and pigskin - all things that I
try to order whenever they're available, just because. Part
of me feels guilty, because I may be creating "artificial
demand" - as in, they see someone orders it, so they get a
replacement shipment in, but that rots or gets freezer burn
before I have a chance to return: this happened at my local
Stop & Shop, where I asked them to stock Schweppes Bitter
Lemon (to me the greatest soft drink ever invented), but I
was the only person to buy it, which happened only a couple
times, so that went the way of all flesh. Speaking of which,
I will be visiting two of my favorite weird-food companions
this fall, which means that no Rochester visit until next
year, probably. Ian and Jacquie Hoare, who were on the echo
before you, and Glen Jamieson, whom I'm pretty sure you
overlapped with.

Essigwasser - vinegar water
cat: beverage, horse trailer
servings: 8 to 10

1/2 c sugar
1/2 c hot water
1/2 c plain vinegar
5 pt cold water

Dissolve sugar in hot water. Add vinegar and cold water.
Chill. "Suck through a piece of grass or straw found in
the garden."
