Do you have a set of "cheaters"? I don't believe I have ever seen you wear 
glasses. Or, perhaps Lasik might help. If you get to 65 and Medicare kicks in 
you can get lens replacements on the Gummint if you have cataracts. My best 
friend had that done and went from severe astigmatism and myopia to needing 
only reading glasses for "close work".

I have seen, with my own baby blues, Kentucky Fried Colonel minions stirring 
30 gallon plastic containers (re-purposed garbage cans) of "blinky" chicken 
with a bleach or sodium tri-phosphate solution. I don't know from my own 
observation that it was subsequently cooked and foisted upon the public. But I 
know which way I would bet.

I have a Farberware Ferris wheel on which I can roast my own chickee without a 
lot of hassle (except clearing sufficient counter space). I only buy 
stupormarkup roasters if they are on DEEEEEEEEEP discount. Stupormarkup 
roasters get picked from the bone and used for sammiches. Home-roasted gets 
served up with mash and one or two veg and maybe with a nice salad or cottage 
cheese/peaches thing.
 
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Chicken Scampi over Rice
 Categories: Poultry, Rice, Chilies
      Yield: 4 Servings

      2 tb Extra virgin olive oil
      1 lb Boned, skinned chicken; cut
           - crosswise in thin strips
    3/4 ts Salt; divided
    1/4 ts Ground black pepper
      4 tb Unsalted butter
      1 md Red onion; thin sliced
      8 cl Garlic; thin sliced
    1/2 ts Crushed red pepper flakes
    1/3 c  Chopped parsley
      1 tb Lemon juice
      2 c  Hot, cooked rice 

  Heat 1 tablespoon of the oil in a large nonstick skillet
  over medium. Season the chicken with 1/2 teaspoon of the
  salt and pepper. Add half of the chicken to the skillet
  and cook, turning once, until just cooked through, about 3
  minutes. Transfer to a plate then add the remaining
  chicken to the skillet and repeat.

  Return the skillet to the stove and add the remaining 1
  tablespoon oil and butter. Stir in the onion, garlic and
  pepper flakes and cook, stirring often, until the garlic
  just starts to brown, about 5-6 minutes. Stir in the
  chicken and cook until heated through, about 1-2 minutes.
  Add the parsley, lemon juice and remaining 1/4 teaspoon
  salt; cook 1 minute.

  Serve over rice. 

  Yield: 4 Servings
